Biography  


John Barsanti

John A. Barsanti was born and raised in Cicero, Illinois.    He attended Catholic grade school at Our Lady of the Mount and St. Francis of Rome in Cicero.   He attended high school at Morton East High in Cicero.

 

He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Carroll College and his Juris Doctorate Degree from Kent College of Law.

 

After law school, Mr. Barsanti worked for a year at the Illinois Department of Labor and then joined the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office where he was employed for twenty-one years, leaving the State’s Attorney’s Office as First Assistant.  He then joined the State of Illinois Appellate Prosecutor’s Office as a trial prosecutor where he was employed for four years. In 2004, Mr. Barsanti was elected Kane County State’s Attorney and re-elected in 2008 in an unopposed race.

 

Mr. Barsanti is a member of the Kane County Bar Association, and has been a Criminal Law Instructor at Waubonsee Community College, and at the State’s Appellate Prosecutor’s Office trainings.

 

Mr. Barsanti resides in St. Charles with his wife and three children.
