Biography  

Terry Patton

Terry Patton was elected Henry County State's Attorney in 2000 and was re-elected in 2004 and 2008. He has received two awards from the Illinois MEG Directors and Task Force Commanders Association for prosecuting drug dealers and received the Hero of Hope award from the Braveheart Children’s Advocacy Center for prosecuting child abusers.

 

Mr. Patton has previously served as President of the Braveheart Children’s Advocacy Center Board of Directors, President of the Henry County Bar Association and Chair of the ISBA Standing Committee on Corrections and Sentencing. He currently serves on the Braveheart Children’s Advocacy Center Advisory Board. Mr. Patton obtained his Juris Doctorate Degree from Southern Illinois University School of Law in 1992.

 

He is married and has two children. They attend St. Anthony’s Catholic Church where Mr. Patton serves as a Lector and Usher.
