Brandon J. Zanotti

Brandon J. Zanotti is the Williamson County State’s Attorney. He filled two years of a vacancy in 2014, and won election in 2016.

Mr. Zanotti is a lifelong Southern Illinois resident. After graduating high school class valedictorian from Johnston City, he graduated summa cum laude from SIU Carbondale with a degree in Finance.

Mr. Zanotti earned his Juris Doctor degree from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law. During law school, he served in the U.S. Senate in Washington, D.C., as a congressional legal clerk to Senator Dick Durbin.

Mr. Zanotti is licensed to practice law in Illinois and Missouri. Before becoming State’s Attorney, he was an Arbitrator with the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission. Prior to that, he was in private practice with the Carbondale law firm of Feirich / Mager / Green / Ryan.

Mr. Zanotti is an Adjunct Professor of Law at the SIU School of Law. He is a member of many local and statewide organizations, and is on the executive boards of his local Child Advocacy Center and Juvenile Justice Council. He is a board member of the State’s Attorneys Association.

Mr. Zanotti resides in rural Johnston City with his wife, Katie, and daughters, Eleanor and Claire.
