Fourth District Office

The Fourth Judicial District is comprised of 30 counties, all of which participated in the Appellate Prosecutor's program during FY10.

 

The Fourth District Office is located at 725 South Second Street, Springfield, Illinois.

During FY08, the Fourth District Office received 440 new cases, filed 376 original briefs, 12 reply briefs, 4 supplemental briefs, 6 petitions for rehearing, 3 summary dispositions, 39 motions for extensions filed, 6 confessions of error, and 15 petitions for leave to appeal. In addition, 4 cases were dismissed/consolidated/transferred/other, 33 oral arguments were presented, and advice was rendered to State's Attorneys on 161 occasions.
