The Fifth Judicial District is comprised of 37 counties, all of which participatedin the AppellateProsecutor's program during FY07.
The Fifth District Office is located at 730 East Illinois Highway, Suite 2, Mt. Vernon, Illinois.

During FY07, the Fifth District Office filed 223 original briefs, 15 confessions of error, 7 petitions for rehearing, and 9 petitions for leave to appeal. In addition, 8 cases were dismissed/consolidated, 63 oral arguments were presented, and advice was rendered to State's Attorneys on 397 occasions.
