Summary:

The Whiteside County State's Attorney's office has an immediate opening for an Assistant State's Attorney to work in the area of misdemeanor and traffic prosecution in the Sterling, Illinois, courthouse. Job duties include all aspects of prosecuting traffic and misdemeanor cases from charging decision through final disposition. Applicants must be currently licensed to practice law in Illinois. Salary is dependent on experience. Whiteside County is approximately 120 miles west of Chicago and borders the Mississippi river. The county has two court facilities. The county seat is Morrison and the branch court is in Sterling. The county is predominately rural with numerous outdoor and recreational resources. Send resumes to: Terry A.
