Title: Assistant State's Attorney
The Iroquois County State’s Attorney’s Office is seeking an attorney for a full-time entry-level position as an Assistant State’s Attorney. Duties include meeting with law enforcement and witnesses, filing criminal charges, negotiating and/or prosecuting traffic, misdemeanor, juvenile and felony cases and gaining trial experience. Other duties may include working with animal control, domestic violence court and truancy court. Some weekends and/or holiday bond court appearances and on-call duties will be required.
Candidate should have less than 2 years of experience practicing law. Generous benefits package includes employer paid ARDC dues and CLE expenses.
