Assistant State’s Attorney – Entry-level Job Summary: The Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office is looking for qualified candidates to fill a vacancy for an entry-level, full-time Assistant State’s Attorney. Description: Exceptional communication, research, and writing skills are essential. Demonstrated interest in public service and criminal law, based on law school course choices, internships, or other volunteerism, strongly preferred. Primary duties and responsibilities depend on your assignment within the office. Ability to immediately practice law in Illinois required (i.e., active Illinois Bar license or recent graduates who have taken the Illinois Bar exam, and so are eligible to practice on an Illinois 711 license). Salary is commensurate with experience and abilities.
