The Tazewell County State’s Attorney’s Office has an opening for a juvenile assistant state’s attorney. This is a full-time position in which the attorney will be responsible for prosecuting juvenile abuse, neglect and delinquency cases. Both experienced and entry level applicants are encouraged to apply.

Description:

DETAILS: The attorney will be responsible for reviewing investigative reports related to cases of juvenile abuse, neglect or delinquency to determine appropriate petitions and motions to be filed and then preparing and prosecuting those matters. Attorneys will be permitted to work independently and use professional judgment with minimal direct supervision. New or less experienced attorneys will be provided support and training as needed. Individuals must either be licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois or willing to seek licensure. LOCATION: Pekin is located in the Peoria, Illinois metro area near a variety of other very livable communities. It is the county seat of Tazewell County, Illinois and lies approximately 40 miles west of the Bloomington-Normal metro area and within comfortable driving distance from the Chicago, St. Louis, Milwaukee and Indianapolis metro areas.
