Title: Assistant State's Attorney
Assistant State’s Attorney – Felony Division Job Summary: The Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office may soon have multiple openings for full-time Assistant State’s Attorney to prosecute serious, felony offenses and reduce COVID-related court backlog. We are soliciting resumes now to provide for quicker hiring timeline of multiple positions at once should these positions be opened. Description: 3+ years of criminal/defense prosecution courtroom experience. Senior felony prosecution and defense experience, especially multiple years prosecuting violent crimes, preferred. Exceptional communication, research, and writing skills are essential. Must be a licensed attorney within the State of Illinois at time of application, or provide evidence of eligibility for admission via reciprocity. Pending Motion for Admission by Reciprocity strongly preferred. Salary is commensurate with experience and abilities.
